Characterization of thalamo-cortical association using amplitude and connectivity of functional MRI in mild traumatic brain injury.
To examine thalamic and cortical injuries using fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFFs) and functional connectivity MRI (fcMRI) based on resting state (RS) and task-related fMRI in patients with mild traumatic brain injury (MTBI). ⋯ The decreased fALFFs (i.e., lower neuronal activity) in the thalamus and its segments provide additional evidence of thalamic injury in patients with MTBI. Our findings of fALFFs and fcMRI changes during motor task and resting state may offer insights into the underlying cause and primary location of disrupted thalamo-cortical networks after MTBI.

Combined value of susceptibility-weighted and perfusion-weighted imaging in assessing who grade for brain astrocytomas.
To assess the value of combining susceptibility-weighted imaging (SWI) and dynamic susceptibility weighted contrast-enhanced (DSC) perfusion-weighted MRI (PWI) in assessing World Health Organization (WHO)grade for brain astrocytoma . ⋯ ITSS was useful for assessing the WHO tumor grade in this cohort of patients with astrocytoma. The combination of SWI and PWI may improve the diagnostic accuracy of astrocytoma grading.

Early therapy assessment of combined anti-DR5 antibody and carboplatin in triple-negative breast cancer xenografts in mice using diffusion-weighted imaging and (1)H MR spectroscopy.
To assess the early response of triple-negative breast-cancer (TNBC) following TRA-8 and carboplatin therapy using DWI and MRS in 2LMP and SUM159 mouse models. ⋯ DWI and MRS assessed the early tumor response to TRA-8 and carboplatin in TNBC mouse models.
