Evaluation of a motion-robust 2D chemical shift-encoded technique for R2* and field map quantification in ferumoxytol-enhanced MRI of the placenta in pregnant rhesus macaques.
3D chemical shift-encoded (CSE)-MRI techniques enable assessment of ferumoxytol concentration but are unreliable in the presence of motion. ⋯ 1 Technical Efficacy: Stage 1 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;51:580-592.

FASt single-breathhold 2D multislice myocardial T1 mapping (FAST1) at 1.5T for full left ventricular coverage in three breathholds.
Conventional myocardial T1 mapping techniques such as modified Look-Locker inversion recovery (MOLLI) generate one T1 map per breathhold. T1 mapping with full left ventricular coverage may be desirable when spatial T1 variations are expected. This would require multiple breathholds, increasing patient discomfort and prolonging scan time. ⋯ 1 Technical Efficacy: Stage 3 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;51:492-504.

Abnormal cerebral microstructures revealed by diffusion kurtosis imaging in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disease in which cerebral structural impairment is a consistent feature. ⋯ 2 Technical Efficacy: Stage 3 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;51:554-562.

Histogram analysis of diffusion kurtosis imaging based on whole-volume images of breast lesions.
Breast diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) is a novel MRI technique to assess breast cancer but the effectivity still remains to be improved. ⋯ 3 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;51:627-634.
