Radiomics Based on Multimodal MRI for the Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Breast Lesions.
MRI-based radiomics has been used to diagnose breast lesions; however, little research combining quantitative pharmacokinetic parameters of dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI (DCE-MRI) and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) exists. ⋯ 3 TECHNICAL EFFICACY STAGE: 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;52:596-607.

Renal perfusion can be quantitatively assessed by multiple magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methods, including dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE), arterial spin labeling (ASL), and diffusion-weighted imaging with intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) analysis. In this review we summarize the advances in the field of renal-perfusion MRI over the past 5 years. The review starts with a brief introduction of relevant MRI methods, followed by a discussion of recent technical developments. ⋯ Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;52:369-379.

Tissue-Specific T2 * Biomarkers in Patellar Tendinopathy by Subregional Quantification Using 3D Ultrashort Echo Time MRI.
Quantitative MRI of patellar tendinopathy (PT) can be challenging due to spatial variation of T2 * relaxation times. ⋯ 1 TECHNICAL EFFICACY STAGE: 1 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;52:420-430.

Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping for Characterization of Intraplaque Hemorrhage and Calcification in Carotid Atherosclerotic Disease.
Carotid artery intraplaque hemorrhage (IPH), an unstable component of atherosclerosis, is associated with an increased risk of stroke. ⋯ QSM is a novel imaging tool for the identification of IPH in patients with carotid atherosclerosis and enables differentiation of IPH and calcification. EVIDENCE LEVEL: 1 TECHNICAL EFFICACY: Stage 1 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;52:534-541.

Diagnosis and Grading of Prostate Cancer by Relaxation Maps From Synthetic MRI.
The interpretation system for prostate MRI is largely based on qualitative image contrast of different tissue types. Therefore, a fast, standardized, and robust quantitative technique is necessary. Synthetic MRI is capable of quantifying multiple relaxation parameters, which might have potential applications in prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ 2 Technical Efficacy Stage: 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2020;52:552-564.
