Dynamic imaging of contrast-enhanced coronary vessels with a magnetization prepared rotated stripe keyhole acquisition.
To evaluate dynamic coronary imaging based on a magnetization prepared contrast-enhanced (CE) rotated stripe keyhole acquisition scheme. ⋯ With efficient background suppression, a rotated stripes keyhole acquisition can efficiently acquire the significant k-space of a CE vessel, and provide improved vessel definition with a reduced acquisition matrices scheme.

Prostate cancer screening: the clinical value of diffusion-weighted imaging and dynamic MR imaging in combination with T2-weighted imaging.
To evaluate the clinical value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and dynamic MRI in combination with T2-weighted imaging (T2W) for the detection of prostate cancer. ⋯ In patients with elevated serum PSA levels, the combination of T2W, DWI, and dynamic MRI may be a valuable tool for detecting prostate cancer and avoiding an unnecessary biopsy without missing prostate cancer.

Correlations between dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging-derived measures of tumor microvasculature and interstitial fluid pressure in patients with cervical cancer.
To correlate permeability (rk(trans)), extracellular volume fraction (rv(e)), relative to muscle and initial area under the enhancement curve (IAUC(60m)) determined by dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) with in vivo measurements of interstitial fluid pressure (IFP) in patients with cervical cancer. ⋯ There is a moderate negative correlation between IAUC(60m), rk(trans), and IFP in cervical cancer. This suggests that these parameters may be of value in assessment of tumor behavior.

To demonstrate the feasibility of three-dimensional (3D) T(1rho)-weighted imaging of human knee joint at 3.0T without exceeding the specific absorption rate (SAR) limits and the measurement of the baseline T(1rho) values of patellar cartilage and several muscles at the knee joint. ⋯ We demonstrated the feasibility of 3D-T(1rho)-weighted imaging of the knee joint at 3.0T without exceeding SAR limits.

Comparative StudyFat suppression with spectrally selective inversion vs. high spectral and spatial resolution MRI of breast lesions: qualitative and quantitative comparisons.
To compare conventional fat-suppressed MR images of the breast to images derived from high spectral and spatial resolution MR data. Image quality and the level of fat suppression are compared qualitatively and quantitatively. ⋯ The results demonstrate that the water peak height images obtained from HiSS data potentially could improve the quality of fat suppression, detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. HiSS allowed detection of lesions and evaluation of lesion morphology prior to contrast media injection. J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2006. (c) 2006 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
