Comparative StudyCoronary arteries at 3.0 T: Contrast-enhanced magnetization-prepared three-dimensional breathhold MR angiography.
To evaluate the efficacy of contrast-enhanced coronary magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) at 3.0 T. ⋯ Contrast-enhanced, three-dimensional, coronary MRA at 3.0 T is a promising technique for diagnosing coronary artery diseases. Patient studies are necessary to evaluate its clinical utility.

Comparative StudyAssessment of left ventricular function by breath-hold cine MR imaging: Comparison of different steady-state free precession sequences.
To compare steady-state free precession (SSFP) sequence protocols with different acquisition times (TA) and temporal resolutions (tRes) due to the implementation of a view sharing technique called shared phases for the assessment of left ventricular (LV) function by breath-hold cine magnetic resonance (MR) imaging. ⋯ The true cine frame duration of both shared phases sequence protocols exceeds the period of isovolumetric contraction (IVCT) of the left ventricle resulting in a systematic and significant underestimation of EDV and consequently SV and EF. SSFP sequence protocol parameters, particularly tRes and use of view sharing techniques, should therefore be known at follow-up examinations in order to be able to assess LV remodeling in patients with heart failure.

Differentiation between hepatic cyst and hemangioma: additive value of breath-hold, multisection fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery magnetic resonance imaging using half-Fourier acquisition single-shot turbo-spin-echo sequence.
To evaluate the additive value of breath-hold, multisection fluid-attenuated inversion-recovery (FLAIR) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using half-Fourier acquisition single-shot turbo-spin-echo (HASTE) sequence as supplements to moderately and heavily T2-weighted fast-spin-echo (FSE) sequences in differentiating hepatic cyst from hemangioma. ⋯ FLAIR-HASTE imaging is useful for distinguishing hepatic hemangioma from hepatic cyst without the use of contrast-enhanced MR images.

Comparative StudyComparative study of FAST gradient echo MRI sequences: phantom study.
To investigate a balanced steady state free precession sequence (b-SSFP) under a large range of conditions and to compare its performance with other types of gradient echo sequences for dynamic imaging. ⋯ The CDR of b-TFE was much narrower than that of T1-TFE but could be widened under optimized conditions. The sensitivity of the b-TFE technique was the highest of the three sequences under all conditions tested.

Quantitative cerebral perfusion using the PRESTO acquisition scheme.
To evaluate the feasibility of using the rapid principles of echo shifting with a train of observations (PRESTO) sequence for measurements of cerebral hemodynamic parameters based on first pass of a contrast agent. ⋯ The study showed that PRESTO and EPI led to comparable quantitative perfusion parameters.
