Comparative Study Observational StudyComparing invasive with MRI-derived intracranial pressure measurements in healthy elderly and brain trauma cases: A pilot study.
Intracranial pressure (ICP) is an important physiological parameter in several neurological disorders. Considerable effort has been made to measure ICP noninvasively. MR-based ICP (MR-ICP) is a nonempirical method based on principles of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) physiology, where ICP is obtained from measurements of blood and CSF flows to and from the cranium during the cardiac cycle. ⋯ 3 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Accurate measurement of the liver iron concentration (LIC) is needed to guide iron-chelating therapy for patients with transfusional iron overload. In this work, we investigate the feasibility of automated quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) to measure the LIC. ⋯ 1 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2019;50:725-732.

Rapid Radial T1 and T2 Mapping of the Hip Articular Cartilage With Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting.
Quantitative MRI can detect early changes in cartilage biochemical components, but its routine clinical implementation is challenging. ⋯ 1 Technical Efficacy: Stage 1 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2019;50:810-815.

Diffusion kurtosis imaging-derived histogram metrics for prediction of KRAS mutation in rectal adenocarcinoma: Preliminary findings.
Although histological examination is the standard method for assessing genetic status, the development of a noninvasive method, which can display the heterogeneity of the whole tumor to supplement genotype analysis, might be important for personalized treatment strategies. ⋯ 3 Technical Efficacy: Stage 2 J. Magn. Reson. Imaging 2019;50:930-939.

Determining the optimal postlabeling delay for arterial spin labeling using subject-specific estimates of blood velocity in the carotid artery.
Arterial spin labeling with 3D acquisition requires determining a single postlabeling delay (PLD) value. PLD affects the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) per unit time as well as quantitative cerebral blood flow (CBF) values due to its bearing on the presence of a vascular signal. ⋯ 2 Technical Efficacy: Stage 1 J.
