Case ReportsA case of fetal bradycardia and sinusoid-like fetal heart rate pattern associated with maternal hypothermia.
A 23-year-old pregnant woman presented with severe hypothermia (33.8 degrees C) as a complication of treatment for urosepsis. The baseline fetal heart rate was 100 beats/min. ⋯ However, the fetal heart rate gradually returned to normal after rewarming the patient. This suggests that maternal hypothermia may induce fetal bradycardia and a 'sinusoid-like' fetal heart rate pattern.
