Multicenter Study Observational StudyPrediction of pouch of Douglas obliteration in women with suspected endometriosis using a new real-time dynamic transvaginal ultrasound technique: the sliding sign.
To evaluate preoperative real-time dynamic transvaginal sonography (TVS) in the prediction of pouch of Douglas (POD) obliteration in women undergoing laparoscopy for suspected endometriosis. ⋯ Preoperative real-time dynamic TVS evaluation using the sliding sign seems to establish with a high degree of certainty whether the POD is obliterated. Given the increased risk of deep infiltrating endometriosis in women with POD obliteration, the TVS sliding sign technique may also be useful in the identification of women who may be at a higher risk for bowel endometriosis.

Meta Analysis Comparative StudyPrevention of perinatal death and adverse perinatal outcome using low-dose aspirin: a meta-analysis.
To compare early vs late administration of low-dose aspirin on the risk of perinatal death and adverse perinatal outcome. ⋯ Low-dose aspirin initiated at ≤ 16 weeks of gestation is associated with a greater reduction of perinatal death and other adverse perinatal outcomes than when initiated at >16 weeks.

Expectant management of adnexal masses in selected premenopausal women: a prospective observational study.
To evaluate the results of expectant management of ovarian cysts with benign ultrasound morphology in selected asymptomatic premenopausal women. ⋯ Expectant management of cysts with benign ultrasound morphology is a management option in selected asymptomatic premenopausal women.

Intrapartum transperineal ultrasound assessment of fetal head progression in active second stage of labor and mode of delivery.
To compare longitudinal changes in angle of progression (AoP) and midline angle (MLA) during the active second stage of labor according to the mode of delivery. ⋯ Ultrasonographic assessment of fetal head descent in the second stage of labor may play a role in the prediction of the mode of delivery.

Prenatal diagnosis of chromosomal abnormalities in fetuses with abnormal cardiac ultrasound findings: evaluation of chromosomal microarray-based analysis.
To assess the frequency of karyotype abnormalities and chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome among fetuses with abnormal cardiac ultrasound findings, and to evaluate the clinical value of chromosomal microarray-based analysis (CMA) in the study of such pregnancies. ⋯ In the assessment of genetic abnormalities in pregnancies with abnormal cardiac ultrasound findings, the diagnostic yield may be increased by 2% if CMA is used as a complementary tool to conventional cytogenetics. Our results suggest that CMA could be a good alternative to karyotyping in these pregnancies.
