To critically analyse the concept of nursing prescription through the study of its background and a review of the scientific literature, in order to develop an accurate conception of this nursing activity and to identify the essential elements surrounding this concept. ⋯ The results clarify the meaning of the study's concept to help professionals understand and address this nursing activity in all its dimensions, and promote social recognition of the nursing profession.

[Effect of a Physical activity program on self-esteem in subjects with chronic diseases. 'Pas a Pas' community intervention trial].
To evaluate the effectiveness of a 9 months of supervised Physical Activity (PA) Program with sociocultural activities, on self-esteem and its association on the control of chronic diseases in adult primary care users. ⋯ The PA program increased the PA and self-esteem in adult primary care users. The increase of self-esteem improved the control of SBP in hypertensive patients.

[Drug using risks screening in primary care patients using the ASSIST test: Cross sectional study].
The aim of this study is to estimate risky-drug use patterns of consumption of primary care patients. ⋯ There is risk derived from drug misuse in primary care for tobacco, alcohol, hypnotics and cannabis as detected by the ASSIST test. There is a higher rate of hypnotics than expected.

To identify the most efficient measurement pattern of home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) for the follow-up of hypertensive patients in primary care. ⋯ The 3 days HBPM pattern is proposed for the follow-up of the hypertensive patient, since it does not have an inferior efficiency to the other patterns.
