At Lalonde we know that the determinants that most influence the health of the population are lifestyle, genetics and the environment. Health represents only 10% and is the determinant that consumes the most resources. ⋯ However it is not invested in PC. In this article we review the socioeconomic and political factors that globally influence the lack of interest in the development of PC.

To compare the care provided by primary care emergency services during the COVID19 lockdown (March-June 2020) and the same period in 2019. ⋯ Primary care emergency services offer additional advantages in situations such as the COVID19 pandemic, as they allow channeling part of the health demand.

To analyze the effectiveness of a multicomponent treatment for smoking cessation carried out in primary care and to evaluate the evolution of the consumption of tobacco that the people who participated had, more than 5 years after the end of the treatment. ⋯ The proposed multi-component treatment is effective. Abstinence at 12 months predicts long-term maintenance and participating in disabling groups favors further attempts in case of relapse and the request for help to quit smoking.

This study aimed to develop the Brazilian instrument for assessing eating disorders in children and adolescents and test its psychometric quality using item response theory (IRT). ⋯ These results indicate good performance of the screening tool in assessing the level of eating disorders in children and adolescents.
