Examine the expectations expressed by healthcare professionals about the benefit of several primary prevention interventions that are usually carried out in The Primary Care Consultations with evidence from moderate-high validity studies. ⋯ Most of the surveyed (healthcare) professionals overestimate both, prevention activities and preventive treatments, this may lead them to instil false hope in patients, to put patients at risk of serious side effects arising from such interventions and to squander resources.

[Importance of health care personnel commitment for patient satisfaction in Primary Care].
To know to what extent the organizational commitment of primary care health professionals is important for patient satisfaction. Observational, cross-sectional, quantitative, retrospective, and uncontrolled study. 40 primary care centers belonging to the health area of Gran Canaria. Primary care. 617 health professionals (46% doctors and 54% nurses) and 1,537 users of primary care centers (35.39% men and 64.60% women). ⋯ It was also found that the most committed professionals have less availability in their schedules for short-term appointments. The interviews suggest that it is because they spend more time with their patients, which makes them more satisfied. The affective organizational commitment of health professionals is an attitude that allows improving patient satisfaction, therefore, health managers should use practices aimed at strengthening this attitude.

Analyze the characteristics and health care received by the patients included in a care program for advanced chronic disease («AgéndaECA»). ⋯ Home is the fundamental place of care for patients with advanced chronic disease. The inclusion in a care program increases home visits and decreases hospital care. It is necessary to propose and evaluate strategies for improving the care of patients with advanced chronic disease developed in the primary care setting.
