To assess (1) whether normal and degenerated menisci exhibit different T1GD on delayed gadolinium-enhanced MRI of the meniscus (dGEMRIM), (2) the reproducibility of dGEMRIM and (3) the correlation between meniscus and cartilage T1GD in knee osteoarthritis (OA) patients. ⋯ dGEMRIM T1 GD can possibly be used to assess meniscal degeneration; dGEMRIM yields highly reproducible meniscal T1 GD in early stage osteoarthritic patients; Concomitant degeneration of cartilage and meniscus tissue occurs in early stage osteoarthritis; dGEMRIC cannot be regarded as entirely sulphated glycosaminoglycan specific.

Radiation dose reduction in CT fluoroscopy-guided lumbar interlaminar epidural steroid injection by minimizing preliminary planning imaging.
To test whether radiation dose reduction in CTF-guided LIESI would be achieved by replacing the preliminary planning CT with a spot CTF while still maintaining technical performance. ⋯ Majority of radiation is delivered during the preliminary planning image acquisition. Spot CTF scan can replace the preliminary planning helical examination. Patient dose can be reduced to as low as 0.09 mSv.

To investigate whether T1-mapping allows assessment of acute kidney injury (AKI) and prediction of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in mice. ⋯ Renal T1-relaxation times are increased after ischemia-induced acute kidney injury. Renal T1-values correlate with subsequent kidney volume loss. T1-mapping detects the severity of acute kidney injury and predicts further outcome.
