To investigate the diagnostic potential of simultaneous 18F-fluciclovine PET/MRI for pelvic lymph node (LN) staging in patients with high-risk prostate cancer. ⋯ • 18F-Fluciclovine PET/MRI has high specificity for detection of lymph node metastasis. • 18F-Fluciclovine PET/MRI lacks sensitivity to replace ePLND. • 18F-Fluciclovine PET/MRI may be used to aid surgery and select adjuvant therapy. • 18F-Fluciclovine PET-positive patients have more extensive disease than PET-negative patients. • Size of metastatic lymph nodes is an important factor for detection.

To evaluate diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) and magnetisation transfer imaging (MTI) compared to standard MRI for prostate cancer assessment in a re-biopsy population. ⋯ • MTR was significantly higher in PZ and TZ tumours versus normal tissue • K app was significantly lower and D app higher for PZ and TZ tumours • There was no incremental value for DKI/MTI over mono-exponential ADC parameters • No parameter could consistently differentiate low-grade (Gleason 3+3) from high-grade (≥ 3+4) disease • Divergent MTR/DKI values in TZ tumours suggests they offer different functional information.

To investigate the incidence rate, time-to-onset and recovery, MRI morphology and occurrence of insufficiency fractures in radiation-induced changes in the sacrum following pelvic radiotherapy. ⋯ • Radiation-induced sacral bone marrow changes appear frequently (17.6 %) following pelvic radiotherapy. • Insufficiency fractures are common late effects (43 %). • Radiation osteitis develops early (4 mo), with recovery between 16.5 and 39.5 months. • Definite radiological osteoradionecrosis is proportionately rare (3 %). • A 3-stage classification system simplifies and standardizes the morphological disease staging.

To evaluate the feasibility of simultaneous quantification of liver iron concentration (LIC) and fat fraction (FF) using water-fat separation and quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM). ⋯ • Magnetic susceptibility showed strong correlation with LIC (r s =0.918). • QSM showed high diagnostic performance for LIC, similar to that of R 2* . • Simultaneously estimated FF-MRI showed strong correlation with MR-Spectroscopy-based FF (R 2 =0.910). • QSM combining water-fat separation has quantitative value for LIO with coexisted steatosis.

Pulmonary pulse wave velocity (PWV) allows the non-invasive measurement of pulmonary arterial stiffening, but has not previously been assessed in COPD. The aim of the current study was to assess PWV in COPD and its association with right ventricular (RV) remodelling. ⋯ While pulmonary vascular remodelling is present in COPD, cardiac remodelling favours reduced filling rather than increased afterload. Treatment of obstructive lung disease may have greater effect on cardiac function than treatment of pulmonary vascular disease in most COPD patients KEY POINTS: • Pulmonary pulse wave velocity (PWV) is elevated in COPD. • Pulmonary PWV is not associated with right ventricular remodelling. • Right ventricular remodelling is more in keeping with that of reduced filling.
