Antiplatelet Drug Use and Breast Cancer Risk in a Prospective Cohort of Postmenopausal Women.
Epidemiologic evidence is insufficient to draw conclusions on the impact of low-dose aspirin use on breast cancer risk, and the potential impact of other antiplatelet drugs such as clopidogrel needs to be explored. ⋯ Antiplatelet drugs are not good pharmacologic candidates for breast cancer prevention.

Multicenter StudyObstructive Sleep Apnea and Incident Cancer: A Large Retrospective Multicenter Clinical Cohort Study.
To examine the association between the severity of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and nocturnal hypoxemia with incident cancer. ⋯ These findings suggest the need for more targeted cancer risk awareness in individuals with OSA.

Dietary and Circulating Fatty Acids and Ovarian Cancer Risk in the European Prospective Investigation into Cancer and Nutrition.
Fatty acids impact obesity, estrogens, and inflammation, which are risk factors for ovarian cancer. Few epidemiologic studies have investigated the association of fatty acids with ovarian cancer. ⋯ If causal, eliminating industrial trans-fatty acids could offer a straightforward public health action for reducing ovarian cancer risk.

Biomarkers of Exposure among Adult Smokeless Tobacco Users in the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health Study (Wave 1, 2013-2014).
Monitoring population-level toxicant exposures from smokeless tobacco (SLT) use is important for assessing population health risks due to product use. In this study, we assessed tobacco biomarkers of exposure (BOE) among SLT users from the Wave 1 (2013-2014) of the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study. ⋯ Our data add information on the risk assessment of exposure to SLT-related toxicants. High levels of harmful constituents in SLT remain a health concern.

Opiate and Tobacco Use and Exposure to Carcinogens and Toxicants in the Golestan Cohort Study.
There is little information on human exposure to carcinogens and other toxicants related to opiate use, alone or in combination with tobacco. ⋯ This high exposure, particularly among dual opiate and cigarette users, can have a substantial global public health impact.
