Coccygodynia treated by pulsed radio frequency treatment to the Ganglion of Impar: a case series.
Chronic coccygodynia accounts for 1% of all back pain referrals and very difficult to treat with an enormous functional deficit. ⋯ We conclude that pulsed radio frequency treatment of the Ganglion of Impar should be considered when coccygodynia has proven resistant to medical management.

Nerve block of articular branches of the obturator and femoral nerves for the treatment of hip joint pain.
The aim of this retrospective study was to investigate the effectiveness of the nerve block of articular branches of obturator and femoral nerves in patients with intractable pain due to hip osteoarthritis. ⋯ We found that nerve blocks of articular branches of obturator and femoral nerves were effective in short- and mid-term for reducing chronic hip joint pain.

Do new diagnostic criteria for fibromyalgia provide treatment opportunity to those previously untreated?
It has been known that tender points detected by ACR 1990 criteria alone might not describe the essence of fibromyalgia, so preliminary diagnostic ACR 2010 criteria was developed. Since there has been no clear evidence exist examining the concordance rates and sensitivity to treatment of these two criteria comparatively, we aimed to shed light on this ambiguity. ⋯ ACR 2010 criteria is more sensitive than ACR 1990 both at first diagnosis and after 1 year of follow-up. So; it enables to diagnose and may give oppurtunity to treat more underdiagnosed FM patients.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffect of core stabilization exercises versus conventional exercises on pain and functional status in patients with non-specific low back pain: a randomized clinical trial.
Low Back Pain (LBP) results in significant level of disability, producing significant restriction on usual activity such as an inability to work. Nearly two third of the adults are affected by non-specific low back pain at some point in their lives. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of core stabilization exercises in comparison with conventional exercises on pain, functional status in patients with non-specific LBP. ⋯ Core stabilization exercises were found to be more effective in reducing pain and improving functional status by decreasing disability of patients with non-specific low back pain in comparison with conventional exercises.

Development and validation of a functional disability index for chronic low back pain.
To develop a valid and reliable functional disability scale for chronic low back pain (CLBP). ⋯ A practical functional disability scale for CLBP was developed and validated.
