Dosing variation of subcutaneous unfractionated heparin (UFH) exist for venous thromboembolism prophylaxis (VTEP). ⋯ There was no difference in effectiveness or safety of TID versus BID subcutaneous UFH for VTEP. During a heparin shortage, transitioning patients to BID UFH for VTEP to conserve supply may be considered.

To review the pharmacological and clinical profile of ozanimod in the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). ⋯ Ozanimod is another option in the growing arsenal of UC treatment. Although it offers a novel mechanism of action and is administered orally, there are important safety, dosing, and pharmacokinetic factors to consider prior to initiation and use.

Comparison of 3 Different Prothrombin Complex Concentrate Regimens for Emergent Warfarin Reversal: PCCWaR Study.
The ideal dose and specific prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) for warfarin reversal is unknown. ⋯ There was no difference in the ability to achieve a post-PCC INR of ≤1.4 between 3 different PCC regimens for warfarin reversal. Additional research is warranted to determine the ideal dose and PCC agent for warfarin reversal.

To review the pharmacology, efficacy, and safety of sacituzumab govitecan (-hziy; IMMU-132, Trodelvy) for patients with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC) who have received at least 2 prior therapies for metastatic disease. ⋯ Sacituzumab govitecan is a novel targeted treatment with promising activity in mTNBC.

Data are limited addressing anticoagulant reversal in obese patients using activated prothrombin complex concentrate (aPCC). ⋯ When fixed-dose aPCC is used for warfarin reversal, obesity is associated with a significantly lower rate of INR reversal, without increased bleeding. This study adds to the limited amount of literature on aPCC dosing in obesity.
