Continuous Aspiration Mechanical Thrombectomy for the Management of Submassive Pulmonary Embolism: A Single-Center Experience.
The Indigo Mechanical Thrombectomy System (Penumbra, Inc, Alameda, California) was used to treat 6 patients with submassive pulmonary embolism (PE) and a contraindication to thrombolysis. Systolic pulmonary artery pressure (58.2 mm Hg vs 43.0 mm Hg, P < .05), right ventricular/left ventricular ratio (1.7 vs 1.1, P < .05), Miller index (15.0 vs 9.8, P < 0.01), and CT obstructive index (60.4% vs 47.0%, P < .01) were significantly reduced after mechanical thrombectomy. There were no procedural or periprocedural complications. Continuous aspiration mechanical thrombectomy is a feasible and promising technique for management of submassive PE to decrease thrombus burden and reduce right heart strain.

Albumin-Bilirubin and Platelet-Albumin-Bilirubin Grades Accurately Predict Overall Survival in High-Risk Patients Undergoing Conventional Transarterial Chemoembolization for Hepatocellular Carcinoma.
To evaluate albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) and platelet-albumin-bilirubin (PALBI) grades in predicting overall survival in high-risk patients undergoing conventional transarterial chemoembolization for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). ⋯ ALBI and PALBI grades are accurate survival metrics in high-risk patients undergoing conventional transarterial chemoembolization for HCC. Use of these scores allows for more refined survival stratification within CPC and BCLC stage.

Correlation of Technetium-99m Macroaggregated Albumin and Yttrium-90 Glass Microsphere Biodistribution in Hepatocellular Carcinoma: A Retrospective Review of Pretreatment Single Photon Emission CT and Posttreatment Positron Emission Tomography/CT.
To evaluate whether technetium-99 (99mTc)-labeled macroaggregated albumin (MAA) can predict subsequent yttrium-90 (90Y) distribution and imaging response in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). ⋯ 99mTc-MAA was found to be a poor surrogate to quantitatively predict subsequent 90Y AD to hepatocellular tumors. 99mTc-MAA distribution correlated with 90Y distribution in the normal hepatic parenchyma.

Radiation Exposure of Patients and Interventional Radiologists during Prostatic Artery Embolization: A Prospective Single-Operator Study.
To prospectively analyze the radiation exposure of patients and interventional radiologists during prostatic artery embolization (PAE). ⋯ PAE may lead to high x-ray exposures to patients and interventional radiologists.
