To investigate whether dexmedetomidine infusion could reduce opioid consumption and opioid-related side effects after uterine artery embolization (UAE). ⋯ The addition of dexmedetomidine infusion to fentanyl PCA provides better analgesia, fentanyl-sparing effect, and less nausea and vomiting, without significant hemodynamic instability.

To evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Crux vena cava filter in patients at risk for pulmonary embolism (PE). ⋯ The Crux vena cava filter performed safely, with high rates of clinical, technical, and retrieval success.
