Irreversible electroporation in eradication of rabbit VX2 liver tumor.
To show the effectiveness and safety of irreversible electroporation (IRE) in treating large tumor models. ⋯ The effects of IRE were shown in a large tumor model with single and multiple IRE ablations (IRE-S and IRE-M treatment groups); complete ablation of the tumor was seen in the IRE-M group. These findings successfully show the beneficial effects and safety of IRE in the treatment of tumors and validate its potential as a clinically translatable treatment.

Phrenic nerve injury after radiofrequency ablation of lung tumors: retrospective evaluation of the incidence and risk factors.
To retrospectively investigate the incidence of and risk factors for phrenic nerve injury after radiofrequency (RF) ablation of lung tumors. ⋯ The incidence of phrenic nerve injury after RF ablation was 1.3%. The proximity of the phrenic nerve to the tumor was an independent risk factor for phrenic nerve injury.

Case ReportsPreoperative embolization of primary spinal aneurysmal bone cysts by direct percutaneous intralesional injection of n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate.
Aneurysmal bone cysts (ABCs) are highly vascular lesions often referred for preoperative transarterial embolization. However, accessible arterial pedicles do not always exist. ⋯ Total estimated surgical blood loss was 1,000 mL in one case and 3,650 mL in the other case, which occurred during the extensive anterior and posterior approaches required to remove the massive ABCs. Direct percutaneous injection of n-BCA is a technically simple and efficient adjunct to surgical resection with the aim to reduce intraoperative blood loss.

Dynamic CT angiography after abdominal aortic endovascular aneurysm repair: differences in contrast agent dynamics in the aorta and endoleaks--preliminary results.
To assess differences in aortic and endoleak enhancement in patients after endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) with dynamic computed tomography (CT) angiography. ⋯ Preliminary dynamic CT angiography results in post-EVAR follow-up revealed notably different peaks of endoleak and aortic enhancement, which are not covered sufficiently by conventional biphasic CT protocols. Phase 5 demonstrated the highest type II endoleak detection rate, with high diagnostic confidence.

Percutaneous computed tomography-guided high-dose-rate brachytherapy ablation of breast cancer liver metastases: initial experience with 80 lesions.
To analyze initial experience with computed tomography-guided high-dose-rate brachytherapy (CT-HDRBT) ablation of breast cancer liver metastases (BCLM). ⋯ CT-HDRBT is a safe and effective ablative therapy, providing a high rate of local tumor control in patients with BCLM.
