To evaluate the quality of reporting of clinical studies published in two interventional radiology journals. ⋯ Articles published in both journals displayed substantial weaknesses that potentially limit the validity of their conclusions.

Evaluation of transcatheter arterial embolization with gelatin sponge particles, microcoils, and n-butyl cyanoacrylate for acute arterial bleeding in a coagulopathic condition.
To evaluate the outcome of transcatheter arterial embolization with gelatin sponge particles, microcoils, and N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) for acute arterial hemorrhage in the setting of coagulopathy. ⋯ Although transcatheter arterial embolization with microcoils took a greater amount of time, transcatheter arterial embolization with NBCA or microcoils was more effective and feasible than that with gelatin sponge particle in terms of hemostasis and prevention of recurrent hemorrhage in a coagulopathic condition.

Randomized Controlled TrialFacilitation of radial artery cannulation by periradial subcutaneous administration of nitroglycerin.
To determine whether subcutaneous administration of nitroglycerin mixed with local anesthetic agent results in effective vasodilation of the radial artery, and whether this technique improves access time and decreases complications. ⋯ Subcutaneous administration of nitroglycerin significantly increased radial artery diameter, which can lead to facilitation of catheterization of the radial artery for arteriography and interventions.

Comparative Study Controlled Clinical TrialComparison of the recovery and G2 filter as retrievable inferior vena cava filters.
To compare the technical success of the Recovery and G2 filters as retrievable inferior vena cava (IVC) filters. ⋯ Compared with the Recovery filter, the G2 filter is associated with significantly less filter fracture and tilt, greater technical success of filter placement, and more caudal filter migration.
