Meta AnalysisThe effects of curcumin supplementation on liver function, metabolic profile and body composition in patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common liver disease worldwide. Curcumin is the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-diabetic and also anti-hyperlipidemia agent and uses as herbal medicine for treating liver diseases. ⋯ The current study revealed that curcumin supplementation has favorable effect on metabolic markers and anthropometric parameters in patients with NAFLD.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative StudyComparison of the analgesic effect of oral sucrose and/or music in preterm neonates: A double-blind randomized clinical trial.
To compare the analgesic effects of sucrose, music, and their combination on venipuncture's pain in preterm neonates. ⋯ Music could relief pain 30 s after the venipuncture completion but not during the venipuncture. A more prolonged period of playing music is recommended to evaluate the analgesic effects of music in preterm neonates in future studies.

Russian Federation medical student knowledge, attitudes and beliefs toward medical cannabis.
To assess medical student knowledge, attitudes and beliefs about cannabis use for medical conditions in Russia where it is prohibited. ⋯ This study is the first in Russia to examine medical students' knowledge, attitudes and beliefs toward MC. Results evidence the majority of survey respondents do not support cannabis legalization for any purpose - medical or recreational. They report a dearth of knowledge about the substance and recommend additional evidence-based research and education to enhance their knowledge about its use. The present study has value in terms of providing usable information for possible curriculum development and education purposes as well as policy change about cannabis use for medical conditions in Russia.

Randomized Controlled TrialThe effect of foot reflexology on constipation and quality of life in patients with multiple sclerosis. A randomized controlled trial.
Constipation is a major problem in most patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of foot reflexology on constipation and quality of life in patients with MS. ⋯ The results of this study showed that foot reflexology, as an effective intervention can be useful in management of constipation in patients with MS. Therefore, this intervention can be applied as a safe method for the decrease of constipation in MS patients.

Meta AnalysisEffects of Baduanjin exercise for knee osteoarthritis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Baduanjin is a Chinese form of low-intensity aerobic exercise that consists of eight movements. It is one of the most common forms of Chinese Qigong exercise, which originated during the Song dynasty and has a history of more than 1000 years. The aim of this research was to assess the efficacy of Baduanjin exercise for knee osteoarthritis (KOA). ⋯ The existing weak evidence suggests that Baduanjin exercise may have favourable effects for KOA patients. However, further rigorously designed RCTs are warranted before it can be recommended.
