Choroid metastasis is the initial presentation of pleomorphic carcinoma (PC) of the lung. PC is classified as poorly differentiated non-small cell lung carcinoma. It has a tendency to metastasize early and has a poor response to chemotherapy, which often results in poor prognosis. ⋯ Choroid metastasis as an initial presentation of PC in the lung is rare. Usually, it represents the late course of disseminated disease with hematogenous spread. Prompt diagnosis is imperative for patients to immediately initiate treatment.

Background and Objectives: This is the first study assessing risk factors for cerebral palsy (CP) among children born in Moldova. The aim of this study was to identify and describe risk factors for cerebral palsy (CP) among children born in Moldova, which is one of the low-middle income countries in Europe. Materials and Methods: We identified 351 children with CP born during 2009 and 2010 in Moldova. ⋯ Conclusions: A combination of factors related to the mother, the delivery and the child were risk factors for CP in Moldova, many of them possibly avoidable. Improved pregnancy and maternity care would potentially reduce the risk of CP. A national CP registry in Moldova is suggested as an opportunity to follow up on these findings.

Uncommon Metastasis of Ovarian Dysgerminoma: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.
Ovarian malignant germ cell tumors (OMGCT) represent less than 10% of all ovarian tumors. Dysgerminoma is the most common malignant primitive germ cell tumor in young women, known for its curability and low propensity to invade and metastasize when diagnosed early. Herein, we report an unusual type of ovarian dysgerminoma (OD) metastasis with a brief review of the literature, lacking similar reported cases. ⋯ In light of the absence of mutations status, our patient successfully responded to therapy. Currently, the patient remains in clinical remission. A specific follow-up plan is ongoing knowing that ovarian dysgerminomas tend to recur most often in the first 2-3 years after treatment.

Computational Models Used to Predict Cardiovascular Complications in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients: A Systematic Review.
Background and objectives: cardiovascular complications (CVC) are the leading cause of death in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Standard cardiovascular disease risk prediction models used in the general population are not validated in patients with CKD. We aim to systematically review the up-to-date literature on reported outcomes of computational methods such as artificial intelligence (AI) or regression-based models to predict CVC in CKD patients. ⋯ Conclusions: the identified studies represent palpable trends in areas of clinical promise with an encouraging present-day performance. However, there is a clear need for more extensive application of rigorous methodologies. Following the future prospective, randomized clinical trials, and thorough external validations, computational solutions will fill the gap in cardiovascular predictive tools for chronic kidney disease.
