Prevalence of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome among Medical Students of a Tertiary Care Hospital.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome is considered to be one of the most common endocrine disorders among women of reproductive age. Characterized by a triad of androgen excess, anovulation, infertility, and obesity the disease can lead to several complications like infertility, endometrial carcinoma. This study aims to find out its prevalence among female medical undergraduates. ⋯ The prevalence of polycystic ovarian syndrome was found to be similar to other studies conducted in similar settings. But still, it is a growing endocrinological problem in the females of the reproductive age group. Early screening is necessary to prevent lifelong complications.

COVID 19 and Nepal: Identification of Critical Public Health Measures.
The COVID-19 pandemic is unfolding at an unprecedented pace. The unprecedented threat provides an opportunity to emerge with robust health systems. Nepal has implemented several containment measures such as Rapid Response Team formulation; testing; isolation; quarantine; contact tracing;surveillance, establishment of COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre and designation of dedicated hospitals to gear up for the pandemic. The national public health emergency management mechanisms need further strengthening with the proactive engagement of relevant ministries; we need a strong, real-time national surveillance system and capacity building of a critical mass of health care workers; there is a need to further assess infection prevention and control capacity; expand the network of virus diagnostic laboratories in the private sector with adequate surge capacity;implement participatory community engagement interventions and plan for a phased lockdown exit strategy enabling sustainable suppression of transmission at low-level and enabling in resuming some parts of economic and social life.

Prevalence of Intestinal Parasitic Infestation among Public School Children of a Community.
Intestinal parasitic infestation is one of the major health problems in developing countries like Nepal. This study was done to determine the prevalence rate of intestinal parasitic infestation among school children in Duwakot VDC, Bhaktapur, Nepal. ⋯ The prevalence rate of intestinal parasite infestation in Nepal shows considerable decline in recent years. However, more effort is required by public health resources to minimize the problem further.

Case ReportsLeft Chronic Otitis Media with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Middle Ear and Postauricular Mastoid Fistula: A Case Report.
Though squamous cell carcinoma is the commonest tumor, it rarely presents in the middle ear and follows a history of chronic ear discharge. Postauricular mastoid fistula is also a rare complication of chronic otitis media. These two pathological changes occurring simultaneously are even rarer. ⋯ Left modified radical mastoidectomy with tympanic membrane grafting was done under general anesthesia. Often middle ear tumor is associated with long-standing ear discharge and this case is a very good example. The co-occurrence of the middle ear tumor with mastoid fistula is extremely rare as both the entities are rare in itself.

Study of Arteriovenous Fistula Cases in a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Arteriovenous fistulas are a preferred choice for hemodialysis access in chronic kidney disease patients. There is increased adoption of arteriovenous fistula creation in Nepal. Our objective is to study various arteriovenous fistulas that have been created in our center. ⋯ Brachiobasilic was the most common location for arteriovenous fistula creation. Reintervention was not common.
