Facial paralysis is one of the common problems leading to facial deformation. COVID-19 virus rarely has been shown to be associated with facial palsy. Here we present a case of a 60-year-old woman who presented with features of left lower motor facial palsy signs along with common features suggestive of COVID-19 infection. Brain imaging did not reveal any pertinent pathology but her polymerase chain reaction for COVID-19 was positive. This case highlights the fact that acute COVID-19 infection can be considered a cause of motor neuron facial palsy in the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19. Cases with neurological features suggestive of facial palsy therefore should be suspected of acute COVID-19 infection based on other pertinent findings of COVID-19 infection and thus polymerase chain reaction testing should be done. ⋯ case reports; COVID-19; facial palsy.

Mean Fluoride Concentration in Drinking Water Sources of a Municipality: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Fluoride is essential for the growth and development of teeth and bone. Excess or less fluoride consumption can have harmful effects on our bodies. Fluoride level of 0.5-1.5 mg/l is said to be optimized according to the World Health Organization. The level of fluoride varies among the different geographical regions and water sources. It is essential to find out the fluoride content of various water sources used for drinking purposes. The aim of this study was to find the mean concentration of fluoride in drinking water sources of a municipality. ⋯ dental caries; drinking water; fluoride.

Kaplan's lesion is a rare complex metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation. A 7-year-old female child presented with pain, swelling and inability to move her right index finger. Her mother gave a history of sustaining a fall injury on the same hand around 3 weeks back. Radiographs showed a complex dorsal metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation. As the injury was already 3 weeks old at presentation, a few attempts at closed reduction were tried, under anaesthesia, which was unsuccessful. So, the patient underwent open reduction through a dorsal approach. At a 1-year follow-up, the patient was pain-free and had regained full range of motion of the index finger metacarpophalangeal joint. The differential diagnosis of Kaplan's lesion should be considered when a child presents with finger dislocation. ⋯ joint dislocations; metacarpophalangeal joint; open reduction.

Malnutrition among Cancer Patients in a Tertiary Care Centre: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Malnutrition is one of the most frequent disorders among cancer patients. It is seen in 50-90% of cancer patients. This high prevalence of malnutrition is very concerning as it is associated with reduced effective treatment, functional status, quality of life and survival. The aim of the study was to find out the prevalence of malnutrition among cancer patients in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ malnourishment; nutritional deficiency; screening.
