Case ReportsOpen Pelvic Fracture with Rectal Laceration: A Case Report.
Open pelvic fractures are rare but represent a serious clinical problem with high mortality rates. Acute mortality is often associated with haemorrhage and delayed mortality is most often associated with sepsis and multiple organ failure. ⋯ It involves emergency resuscitation, stabilization of unstable fracture with an external fixator, and faecal diversion for rectal injury. Here, a case of open pelvic fracture with rectal laceration has been presented.

Trans-oral Extra Tonsillar Approach of Styloidectomy for Treatment of Eagle's Syndrome among Operated Cases of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at a Tertiary Care Hospital: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Eagle's syndrome is a poorly understood clinical entity that has variable presentations like recurrent throat pain or foreign body sensation, dysphagia, or facial pain. With a confirmed diagnosis, a surgical approach is considered appropriate for its treatment. This study aims to find out the prevalence of trans-oral extra tonsillar approach of styloidectomy among the operated cases of Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ The prevalence of styloidectomy among the operated cases of our study is low in comparison to other studies done in similar settings. Transoral extra tonsillar approach can be considered as a novel approach for surgical removal of the styloid process in Eagle's Syndrome.

Endodontic Indications among Patients Visiting a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Endodontics is the study of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases or injuries to the dental pulp. The ultimate goal of modern dental care is tooth preservation and root canal therapy/treatment is an available therapeutic strategy to retain teeth. The aim of the study is to find the prevalence of patients visiting a tertiary care center who had endodontic indications. ⋯ More female patients and of younger age group in this study population demanded endodontic treatment. Irreversible pulpitis was responsible for the majority of the cases treated and more affected were the posterior teeth.

Mean Evan's Index among Patients with Normal Computed Tomography Scan visiting Radiology Department in a Tertiary Care Centre of Nepal: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Evan's index is useful to objectively see if ventricles size is abnormal especially in borderline cases of hydrocephalus. Studying ventricular size in CT scan is essential in every pathology of the brain. Use of objective parameters to define hydrocephalus helps us not only to diagnose a case but also follow up the case following treatment. The aim of this study was to find out the mean even index among patients visiting the department of radiology of a tertiary care hospital. ⋯ The mean evan's index in our study population was lower than the normal cut-off value.

Overweight among Medical Students in a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
Today's generation is facing an increased prevalence of overweight and obesity. It may be genetic or habitual due to overeating of junk foods and sedentary lifestyle. It directly affects an individual personality and health. The main aim of this study is to find out the prevalence of overweight among medical students in a tertiary care center. ⋯ The current study shows the prevalence of overweight among medical students is slightly higher than in studies done in similar settings.
