Multidrug Resistant Escherichia coli among Urinary Samples of Patients with Urinary Tract Infection in the Microbiology Department of a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-Sectional Study.
Urinary Tract Infection one of the most common and manageable infections still holds its position as a major public health issue worldwide due to an increase in the number of multidrug resistant bacteria. This study aims to find out the prevalence of multidrug resistant Escherichia coli among urinary samples of patients with urinary tract infections in the microbiology Department of a tertiary care center. ⋯ antibiotics; Escherichia coli; urinary tract infection.

Case ReportsTurner Syndrome with Mosaicism of X Chromosome: A Case Report.
Turners' syndrome, although common, is a complex syndrome that requires a multidisciplinary team to manage it. If undiagnosed prenatally or in childhood, Turners' syndrome females often present later to gynaecologists with premature ovarian insufficiency or infertility as their primary presenting complaint. Timely diagnosis and management are key to improving health outcomes in women with Turners' syndrome, as it is associated with multiple comorbidities which left untreated will result in excess morbidity and mortality. We hereby present a case of a 20-year-old female diagnosed to have Turner's syndrome with mosaicism of the X chromosome to highlight the wide array of clinical presentations it can have. ⋯ case reports; infertility; sex chromosome aberrations; Turner syndrome.

Postdural Puncture Headache after Spinal Anaesthesia in Parturients Undergoing Cesarean Section in the Department of Anesthesia in a Tertiary Care Center: A Descriptive Cross-sectional Study.
The post-dural puncture headache is one of the common complications of spinal anaesthesia. It is one of the most frequent claims for malpractice involving obstetrics anaesthesia. Though self-limiting it is troublesome to the patient. The aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of post-dural puncture headache after spinal anaesthesia in parturients undergoing cesarean section in the Department of Anesthesia in a tertiary care centre. ⋯ cesarean section; headache; prevalence.

Role of Experiential Learning in the Desensitization of a Medical Student: Our Perspective.
Being a medical student, it is really important to balance all sorts of emotions either positive or negative. Desensitization plays a significant role in shaping medical students' way to become efficient physicians. In this article, we discuss the effectiveness of experiential learning from the early medical student days such as in cadaveric dissection hall, operation theatre, and clinical rotation. The journey of desensitization among medical students is beneficial in situations that require emotional resilience over emotional instability. Experiential learning helps medical students in knowledge retention and a better understanding of their learning strengths and areas of improvement. ⋯ cadaver; emotions; experiential learning; medical students.

Reported here is a rare near-miss case of stroke in pregnancy presented to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. A 38 years gravida 8 was referred from a private hospital on 18 November 2022 with hemorrhagic stroke, a known case of chronic hypertension at 37 weeks of gestation with previous cesarean section and acute kidney injury. At a private hospital computed tomography head was done it showed intracerebral haemorrhage. On cesarean, intraoperatively it was a live female with thick meconium. The patient was kept in intensive care with a mechanical ventilator, antihypertensives, antibiotics, and analgesics. Serum creatinine was increasing daily. Suture was cut on the 7th postoperative and two times dialysis was done on the 8th and 9th postoperative days. Stroke in pregnancy is a rare diagnosis and it could have been prevented by regular antenatal visits and early referral antenatally along with a multidisciplinary approach. ⋯ case reports; hypertension; intracerebral haemorrhage; pregnancy; stroke.
