The purpose of this study was to develop a natural language processing (NLP) pipeline to identify incidental thyroid nodules (ITNs) meeting criteria for sonographic follow-up and to assess both adherence rates to white paper recommendations and downstream outcomes related to these incidental findings. ⋯ NLP accurately identified chest CT reports meeting criteria for ITN ultrasound follow-up. Radiologist adherence to white paper guidelines and subsequent referrer adherence to radiologist recommendations showed room for improvement.

We aimed to evaluate the diagnostic performance of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and dynamic susceptibility contrast-enhanced (DSC) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) parameters in the noninvasive prediction of the isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status in high-grade gliomas (HGGs). ⋯ The rCBV and PSR from DSC-MRI may be feasible noninvasive imaging parameters for predicting the IDH mutation status in HGGs. The standardization of the imaging protocol is indispensable to the utility of DSC perfusion MRI in wider clinical usage.

Bronchiectasis (BE) is associated with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but emphysema and small airways disease, main pathologic features of COPD, have been sparsely studied in BE. We aimed to objectively assess those features in smokers with and without radiographic BE and examine its relationships to airflow obstruction and exercise capacity. ⋯ Smokers with radiographic BE have an increased burden of emphysema on paired CTs, and those with radiographic BE and emphysema have lower airflow and exercise capacity.
