Fractures in persons with haemophilia (PWH) are not uncommon and require an interdisciplinary approach to maintain haemostasis during surgical treatment. ⋯ An optimal interdisciplinary perioperative management provided the surgical treatment of fractures in PWH can be performed safely with a low complication rate.

Development of neutralizing inhibitors against factor VIII (FVIII) is a major complication of haemophilia A treatment. ⋯ Treatment with a single pdFVIII/VWF concentrate, mainly according to the Bonn protocol, resulted in a high ITI success rate in haemophilia A patients with inhibitors and poor prognosis for ITI success.
