Incidence of Silent Ischemic Infarct after Diagnostic Conventional Cerebral Angiogram.
This study was carried out to determine the risk of new ischemic events, demonstrated by diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) in patients undergoing diagnostic conventional cerebral angiogram. MEDLINE, EMBASE, Current Contents, Cochrane Central, Expert Files, and bibliographies of included articles were systematically searched to identify prospective studies that reported MRI findings after diagnostic angiogram. Eligibility criteria included the following elements: manuscripts published between 1999 and 2019; prospective design; only diagnostic angiogram imaging performed prior to the MRI; DW-MRI done before and after the angiogram procedure; and number of new diffusion weighted lesions documented after each procedure. ⋯ DWI lesions were associated with diagnostic angiograms in 106 (24.65%) of total procedures. Mean time fluoroscopy, procedure by resident operator, and vascular risk factors were the recognised independent risk factors for silent cerebral ischemia after diagnostic angiogram. Randomized Controlled TrialEmollient Therapy in Preterm & Low Birth Weight Neonates: A Randomised Clinical Trial.
To assess the impact of emollient therapy on gain in weight and length among preterm and low birth weight babies. ⋯ For 140 neonates, the mean increase in weight was 489.84 ± 297.48 grams among group-A neonates (emollient therapy group) and it was 373.43 ± 276.31 grams among group-B neonates (p = 0.018). The mean increase in length was 6.5 ± 1.1 cm, among group-A neonates and 4.8 ± 1.3 cm in group-B neonates (p ˂0.001). Conclusion: Massage with emollient therapy leads to significantly more increase in weight and length compared to massage alone, among preterm and low birth weight neonates. Emollient therapy is an effective non-pharmacological intervention for increasing weight and length in low birth weight and preterm neonates. Comparison of Guy's, S.T.O.N.E. and CROES Scoring Systems for Predicting Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy Outcomes in Eldery Patients.
To evaluate the efficacy and reliability of Guy's (GSS), S.T.O.N.E., and CROES scoring systems developed to predict percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) outcomes in aged patients. Study Design: Descriptive study. ⋯ PCNL is an effective and safe treatment method with high stone-free rates in the treatment of large renal stones, but care should be taken in terms of cardiac risks. The results of this study showed that GSS and S.T.O.N.E. scoring systems were effective and reliable in predicting stone-free status. Key Words: Aged, Nephrolithotomy, Percutaneous, Comorbidity, Stone-free status, Treatment outcome, Complications, Scoring systems.

Review Case ReportsMorel-Lavallée Lesion in a 35-year Female.
Morel-Lavallée lesion is a post-traumatic degloving cyst, usually filled with blood, lymph or necrotic tissue, which mostly develops in the area around greater trochanter. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment is essential to prevent further complications, such as compression of surrounding structures. X-rays have limited use and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the modality of choice in diagnosing the lesion. ⋯ Given the chronicity of lesion and extensive tissue involvement, the patient underwent surgical excision of the lesion with favourable long-term outcomes. In this case report and literature review, we discuss the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, radiological findings and management options for Morel-Lavallée lesion. Key Words: Morel-Lavallée lesion, Post-traumatic cyst, Degloving Injury, Tangential cyst.

The aim of this study was to evaluate vitamin B12 levels in the patients diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and to compare them with a healthy group. In this study, the files of the patients, who were admitted to the pediatric neurology outpatient clinic of a tertiary university hospital and were followed up after being diagnosed with neurofibromatosis type 1 during the 15-month period, were evaluated retrospectively (Study group). Demographic data, and laboratory test results (complete blood count, iron, iron-binding capacity, ferritin, vitamin B12 and folate) were recorded from the patient files. ⋯ Vitamin B12 levels were statistically significantly lower in the study group compared to the control group (p=0.012). This study is the first study evaluating vitamin B12 levels in NF1 patients. Key Words: Neurofibromatosis type 1, Neurofibromin, Nutrition, Vitamin B12.
