Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Findings in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
To evaluate microstructure and vascularity of macula and optic disc in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) by optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography (OCTA). ⋯ Although no microvascular macular abnormalities were seen in PCOS patients, the parafoveal thickness significantly increased in all quadrants, except the nasal quadrant. In patients with PCOS, IR, dyslipidemia may affect the structural integrity of the retina. Further longitudinal follow-up studies are needed to determine whether PCOS has any effect on OCTA findings. Key Words: Polycystic ovary syndrome, Retina, Optical coherence tomography, Optical coherence tomography angiography.

Observational StudyEffect of Exenatide Therapy on Platelet Function in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
The purpose of the present study was to determine the effects of exenatide treatment on platelet function in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. ⋯ Exenatide causes a decrease in PDW value and platelet count independent of its positive effect on lipid profile, glycemic regulation, and weight loss, which contributes to explain the effect of treatment on the cardiovascular system through a different mechanism. Key Words: Exenatide, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, Platelet count, Platelet distribution width, Mean platelet volume.

Observational StudyCan the Additional Dose Requirement be Determined before the Seventh Day to Successfully Treat Tubal Ectopic Pregnancy with a Single-dose Methotrexate Protocol?
To investigate the relationship of beta-hCG changes between the first, fourth and seventh days as a predictor of the additional dose requirement in single-dose methotrexate protocol in tubal ectopic pregnancy. ⋯ In the single-dose methotrexate protocol applied in the medical treatment of tubal ectopic pregnancy, the change in beta-hCG value between the first and fourth days may predict the need for additional doses. Administration of an additional dose of methotrexate on the fourth day may be considered, if there is less than a 4% decrease or any increase in beta-hCG value between the first and fourth days. Key Words: Ectopic pregnancy, Methotrexate, Beta human chorionic gonadotropin, Tubal pregnancy, Single-dose protocol.

Peak Growth Hormone Level Variability during Insulin Tolerance Test in Children with Short Stature.
To determine the variations in peak growth hormone levels during insulin tolerance test (ITT) in diagnosis of growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in children presenting with short stature. ⋯ The 0, 30, 60, and 90 minutes samples are adequate to confirm the diagnosis of GH deficiency. This shorter duration of ITT to 90 minutes is cost effective as it decreases the financial burden of unnecessary testing. Additionally, it reduces the risk of side effect like hypoglycemia. Key Words: Short stature, Growth hormone deficiency, Insulin tolerance test.

Observational StudyVitamin D Replacement Effect on Platelet Counts.
To determine the effect of vitamin D treatment on platelet counts according to age groups in patients with vitamin D deficiency. ⋯ Vitamin D treatment lowered platelet counts. This may be beneficial in medical conditions such as essential thrombocythemia in which platelet counts are higher than normal, and may help decrease platelet counts. Key Words: Complete blood count, Blood platelet count, Vitamin D.
