The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of enoxaparin and intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) for venous thromboembolism (VTE) prevention in Japanese surgical patients with gynecologic malignancy. ⋯ Enoxaparin might have lowered the risk of VTE among surgical patients with gynecologic malignancy. Further studies are necessary to confirm this.

No association between CYP17 -34T/C polymorphism and insulin resistance in Thai polycystic ovary syndrome.
To investigate the association of CYP 17 -34T/C polymorphism with insulin resistance (IR) in Thai polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). ⋯ No significant association between CYP17-34T/C polymorphism and IR was found in Thai PCOS women, although the A2/X genotype group was statistically significantly younger than the A1/A1 genotype group.
