The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of falls among community-dwelling older adults and the impact of pain and insomnia on falls. ⋯ In this study, falls were observed as a common problem among community-dwelling older adults, and pain and insomnia were determined as risk factors for falls. Therefore, pain and insomnia should be addressed when prevention of falls among community-dwelling older adults are planned by health care professionals including nurses.

This study aims to assess the effect of using a combination of eye mask and earplugs on the perceived quality of sleep among patients admitted to intensive care units. ⋯ Combining eye masks and earplugs is effective in prolonging the sleep of intensive care patients and improving its quality.

To evaluate the effects of a nurse-led intervention programme on compassion fatigue, compassion satisfaction, and burnout, which are indicators of the professional quality of life and post-traumatic growth of oncology nurses. ⋯ This nurse-led intervention programme was effective in improving the professional quality of life and post-traumatic growth of oncology nurses.

Efficacy of forced-air warming for preventing perioperative hypothermia and related complications in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery: A randomized controlled trial.
Perioperatively, unexpected hypothermia may cause adverse surgical outcomes. However, few studies have explored the efficacy of forced-air warming in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery. ⋯ Forced-air warming can increase warming efficacy and reduce complications of perioperative hypothermia in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery.

The effect of sleep hygiene education and relaxation exercises on insomnia among postmenopausal women: A randomized clinical trial.
This study used a randomized controlled trial model to determine the effect of progressive relaxation exercises and sleep hygiene training given to postmenopausal women with insomnia. ⋯ The findings of study suggest that nurses teaching progressive relaxation exercises and sleep hygiene would benefit postmenopausal women who suffer from insomnia.
