Case ReportsVideothoracoscopic treatment of a rare complication of nasojejunal tube insertion.
Intubation of the tracheobronchial tree is the most common type of malposition during the placement of narrow-bore enternal tubes. ⋯ Pneumothorax and laceration of the lung-caused by the malposition of narrow-bore enternal tube-can be successfully treated by applying videothoracoscopy.

Comparative StudyThoracoscopic versus open repair of tracheoesophageal fistula and esophageal atresia.
Recent studies show the minimally invasive approach to the repair of esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) is feasible. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the thoracoscopic versus open techniques. ⋯ Our results suggest that the outcomes of the thoracoscopic technique are comparable to that of the open technique. However, the number is small, and more data are needed to further evaluate the procedure.

Transabdominal preperitoneal laparoscopic approach for the treatment of sportsman's hernia.
Groin pain in athletes presents a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge, particularly in distinguishing between those that will respond to nonoperative management and those that require surgery. Repair of sportsman's hernia, using the Modified Bassini darn or tension-free Lictenstein mesh technique, have been well described. The aim of this study was to assess the role of laparoscopy in the management of these hernias. ⋯ The transabdominal preperitoneal laparoscopic approach is safe and feasible in the diagnosis and treatment of Sportsman's hernia, enabling a full return to sports activities.
