Knowledge, attitudes, and practice of abortion among women and doctors in Armenia.
To assess knowledge and attitudes towards abortion among women and obstetricians/gynaecologists in Armenia, in order to facilitate the introduction of medical abortion. ⋯ Both doctors and women in Armenia are interested in medical abortion as an alternative to surgical abortion. Efforts should focus on informing women about the legality of abortion and the details of the medical abortion procedure, and on training doctors in this new method.

Socio-demographic factors influence contraception use among female students of the University of Novi Sad (Serbia).
To identify some of the socio-demographic factors that influence the use of contraception among female university students and to gain a deeper insight into their contraceptive behaviour. ⋯ The identified socio-demographic factors that influence the contraceptive behaviour of female students should allow to devise appropriate strategies for the promotion of the use of contraception by this young population.

Case ReportsEctopic pregnancy following emergency contraception with ethinyloestradiol-levonorgestrel: a case report.
Emergency contraception with ethinyloestradiol-levonorgestrel is effective, and ectopic pregnancy following its failure is rare. ⋯ Although ectopic pregnancy after failure of EC is rare, one should be alert to its possible occurrence.

Do perceived health risks outweigh the benefits of modern contraceptives? A qualitative study in a suburban population in Istanbul, Turkey.
To evaluate the health concerns and the perceived non-contraceptive benefits of modern contraceptive methods through utilizing qualitative methods. ⋯ Women outweighed the risks, some of which were fallacious and exaggerated, against the benefits of modern contraceptives. It is crucial to address health concerns of women and what they 'heard' from their peers during counselling sessions. Also the non-contraceptive health benefits of modern methods should be well emphasized. Since informal sources are prevalent, the effectiveness of peer education should be studied in this community.
