Pathology Associated with Adherent Perirenal Fat and its Clinical Effect.
The dissection of perirenal fat is of critical importance to kidney surgery and ease of dissection is more important when using minimally invasive approaches. This study aimed to determine the clinical, radiological, and pathological significance of adherent perirenal fat (APF). ⋯ APF is a challenge during kidney surgery. Difficult dissection prolongs the duration of perirenal fat dissection and surgery. Perirenal fat thickness measured via preoperative CT might be used to predict APF.

Medication Reconciliation at hospital admission and discharge: evaluation of fidelity and process outcomes in a real-world setting.
The study aimed to assess the fidelity of Medication Reconciliation (MR) delivered by the pharmacist at hospital admission and discharge, and the process outcomes. ⋯ This study found a high number of UD, suggesting flaws in the implementation of MR and highlight the importance of quality measurement.

In dermoscopic studies on dermatofibromas, some publications divide the appearance of lesions into standardised patterns, and some publications classify the clinical appearance of the lesions by comparing them with existing dermatological lesions. This study aims to re-evaluate the dermoscopic findings and patterns of dermatofibromas from a different perspective. ⋯ Patterns of DFs were reclassified while preserving basic patterns. We think that the new sub-patterns and schematisation with this study can contribute to a better understanding of DFs.

Factors affecting delay in diagnosis of colorectal cancer; a cross sectional study; from tertiary care hospital of Karachi Pakistan.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) incidence is increasing in our region. There is no specific CRC control programme or national cancer registry in Pakistan. Previously, no data have been published on presentation delay and diagnosis delay of CRC in our region. This study is conducted to determine the factors affecting delay in presentation and diagnosis and to provide baseline information to launch a CRC control programme. The primary objective is to determine factors causing delay in diagnosis of CRC. The secondary objective is to evaluate the relationship between tumour site and stage of CRC with presenting symptoms and symptom duration. ⋯ This study revealed that CRC patients in Pakistan are facing delays in presentation and diagnosis. This is the reason behind diagnosis at the advanced stage with a poor prognosis. On the basis of this study findings, CRC control programme should be introduced to detect CRC at an early stage.

Prevalence and cost of surgical treatment for female stress urinary incontinence in Brazil: a comparison between abdominal and vaginal approaches.
Report the progress of the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in Brazil through vaginal and abdominal approaches and the direct costs by hospitalisation, using DATASUS-a public entity of the Strategic and Participative Management Secretary of Health Ministry, with the responsibility of collecting, processing, and disseminating public health information. ⋯ The number of procedures to treat female SUI in Brazil has decreased from 2008 to 2019. Total financial expenditure per procedure and length of hospital stay were both higher for the abdominal approach (Burch colposuspension). A preference for a vaginal approach (pubovaginal sling or midurethral sling) has increased significantly since 2008, and our study favours this approach.
