To assess the largest stone composition data available and to present the variations in the stone composition according to gender and different climatic environments in Turkey. ⋯ This study provides the most comprehensive data on the stone disease in Turkey. Considering the distribution of stone disease in Turkey, the frequency of analysed stones had parallels with the temperature averages and climate features, presenting crescent-like distribution.

Use of the prostate health index in the detection of prostate cancer at all PSA levels.
To determine the efficiency of prostate health index (PHI) calculated simultaneously during an ultrasound-guided fine-needle prostate biopsy in prostate cancer diagnosis. ⋯ The overall findings indicate that the specificity of PHI is higher than PSA in terms of prostate cancer detection.

Alimentary System is Directly Attacked by SARS-COV-2 and Further Prevents Immune Dysregulation Caused by COVID-19.
SARS-COV-2 causes digestive system symptom, the effect of which remains equivocal. ⋯ Alimentary system is possibly attacked by SARS-COV-2 other than hyperinflammation or immune dysregulation caused by it. Involvement of alimentary system might further protect mild and moderate cases from lymphocyte depletion caused by COVID-19.

Evaluation of Regular Insulin Adsorption to Polypropylene Bag and Polyvinyl Chloride Infusion Set.
Clinical application of insulin infusion therapy is usually accomplished with regular human insulin. It is known that the regular insulin adsorbed to the hydrophobic surfaces and different approaches were implemented into the clinical practices. It was aimed to evaluate the rate of adsorption of insulin to polypropylene (PP) bags and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) infusion sets and stability of insulin during the infusion. ⋯ When PP bags are used for insulin infusion, it is predicted that 24-hour change can be made instead of frequent change. In addition, losses caused by the high rate of insulin adsorption to PVC infusion sets should be considered and PP infusion sets would be the better option to use if available.

Assessment of antıbıotıc resıstance of ınfectıous agents ın patıents wıth pneumonıa ın tertıary crıtıcal care unıt and effect on clınıcal outcomes.
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of the causative agents of multi-drug resistant bacteria in pneumonia and also evaluate their mortality rates in the intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ The predominance of gram-negative agents was observed in pneumonia patients and because of the high resistance to antibiotics, treatment strategies need to be reconsidered in order to improve the poor prognosis.
