Can Preoperative Axillary Ultrasound and Biopsy of Suspicious Lymph Nodes Be An Alternative To Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in Clinical Node Negative Early Breast Cancer?
The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy of preoperative axillary ultrasonography (AUS) and preoperative axillary fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) from suspicious lymph nodes in clinically node-negative breast cancer to compare with radiologically positive and sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) positive involvement. ⋯ It was concluded that axillary AUS-FNAB with its high NPV, low FN rate, may be a clinical alternative to SLNB for early-stage breast cancer patients.

The aim of the study was to investigate and evaluate factors affecting levels of negative bias or attitude towards obesity, known as "fat phobia." ⋯ The common opinion across studies on bias is that the effective factor in being free from the relevant bias can be achieved through education. Although fat phobia is a new concept, it is an emotion that is always with us at varying levels. In order to minimise the level of fat phobia as much as possible, to draw attention to this situation and to raise awareness, weight management should be ensured for the health of individuals in addition to psychological sessions.

Determinants of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for urothelial muscle-invasive bladder cancer: Does location matter?
Bladder cancer care has been increasingly concentrated in high-volume metropolitan medical centres (ie, "regionalisation" of care). We aimed to assess the potential role of geographic factors, including facility region and distance to treatment centre, as determinants of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) delivery in patients with non-metastatic urothelial muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) using nationally representative data from the United States. ⋯ Distance to treatment centre and United States geographic region were found to affect the likelihood of NAC receipt independently of other established predictors of success in this quality-of-care metric. Access to transportation and related resources merits consideration as additional pertinent social determinants of health in bladder cancer care.

Womens' self-management skills for prevention and treatment of recurring urinary tract infection.
The guideline on urinary tract infections (UTI) of the Dutch College of General Practitioners provides recommendations on patient-initiated treatment and prevention of recurring UTI. ⋯ Almost half of all women applied self-management (increased fluid intake, analgesics) before consulting a GP for recurring UTI. Awareness of preventive behavioural measures for recurring UTI varied considerably. Thus, education of women about the use of analgesics and behavioural measures deserves attention.

The application of plan, do, check, act(PDCA) quality management in reducing nosocomial infections in endoscopy rooms: it does work.
The role of plan, do, check, act (PDCA) cycle quality management in reducing nosocomial infections in endoscopy rooms remains unclear; we aimed to evaluate the effects of PDCA in the nosocomial infections control of endoscopy rooms. ⋯ PDCA cycle management is beneficial to reduce the risk of nosocomial infection, enhance the awareness of infection control and reduce the risk of occupational exposure of medical staff in the endoscopy room.
