High Dietary Diabetes Risk Reduction Score Is Associated with Decreased Risk of Chronic Kidney Disease in Tehranian Adults.
In the current study, we examined the association of dietary diabetes risk reduction score (DDRRS) with chronic kidney disease (CKD) among an Iranian adult population. ⋯ The present study's findings suggest that greater adherence to a dietary pattern with a higher score of DDRRS may be associated with a lower risk of CKD incident.

Review Case ReportsA Case of Type 1 Triallelic Patterns at D5S818, D18S51, D6S1043, and FGA Demonstrated by Short Tandem Repeat Analysis.
The triallelic pattern of short tandem repeat (STR) is rare; especially, the case where this pattern exists at 4 loci has not been reported. Here, we report the type 1 triallelic patterns at D5S818, D18S51, D6S1043, and FGA from a Chinese family, which were observed during our routine chimerism assays. Before hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, the blood sample of the certain patient was analyzed by performing chimerism analysis. ⋯ Altogether, we presented a pedigree, in which the triallelic pattern was linked by inheritance in the family. This is the first reported case of the triallelic pattern at D5S818, D18S51, D6S1043, and FGA all around the world. We hope that in the future there will be any tools to achieve accurate verification against this possibility.

ReviewSemantic Web in Healthcare: A Systematic Literature Review of Application, Research Gap, and Future Research Avenues.
Today, healthcare has become one of the largest and most fast-paced industries due to the rapid development of digital healthcare technologies. The fundamental thing to enhance healthcare services is communicating and linking massive volumes of available healthcare data. However, the key challenge in reaching this ambitious goal is letting the information exchange across heterogeneous sources and methods as well as establishing efficient tools and techniques. ⋯ In each thematic research area, we presented the contributions of previous literature. We emphasized the topic by responding to five specific research questions. We have finished the SLR study by identifying research gaps and establishing future research goals that will help to minimize the difficulty of adopting SW in healthcare systems and provide new approaches for SW-based medical systems' progress.

Higher Mean Arterial Pressure during Cardiopulmonary Bypass May Not Prevent Acute Kidney Injury in Elderly Patients Undergoing Cardiac Surgery.
We aimed to evaluate the role of higher mean arterial pressure (MAP) during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) in preventing development of acute kidney injury (AKI). Methods. We evaluated a population of elderly individuals >60 years of age undergoing CPB to find correlation of MAP during CPB with development of AKI after the surgery. ⋯ Male sex was associated with an increased incidence of cardiac surgery-associated AKI (p = 0.034). Conclusions. A higher MAP in the range of 65-75 mmHg during the cardiopulmonary bypass does not significantly prevent acute kidney injury in elderly patients undergoing cardiac valve surgery.

Effect of Liraglutide on Serum TSH Levels in Patients with NAFLD and its Underlying Mechanisms.
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of liraglutide on serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and explore the underlying mechanisms via bioinformatics analysis. A total of 49 obese/overweight patients with T2DM received liraglutide during outpatient visits or hospitalization in the Department of Endocrinology. Meanwhile, the control group included 49 patients with T2DM but without nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) who were matched for age and sex (baseline from July 2016 to June 2021). ⋯ After the therapy, the NAFLD and NASH groups showed significantly decreased TSH levels after liraglutide therapy compared with the corresponding baseline data. Furthermore, the expression of THRB, which encodes TRβ, was significantly decreased in the NAFLD group, which may explain the thyroid hormone resistance-like manifestation in the clinical findings. In conclusion, liraglutide improves hepatic thyroid hormone resistance in T2DM with NAFLD, and restoration of impaired TRβ expression in NAFLD is a potential mechanism involved in the process of liraglutide therapy.
