Evidence-Based Prediction of COVID-19 Severity in Hospitalized Children.
In this study, by using clinical and paraclinical characteristics, we have aimed to predict the severity of the disease in hospitalized COVID-19 children. ⋯ Determining patient severity is essential for appropriate clinical decision making; our results showed that in hospitalized pediatric patients, by using several variables such as SGOT, CRP, ALC, LDH, WBC, O2sat, and ferritin, we can use clinical and paraclinical characteristics for predicting the severity of COVID-19.

Adherence to Mediterranean Diet and Its Association with Metabolic Health Status in Overweight and Obese Adolescents.
Obesity is becoming more prevalent around the world and greatly contributes to chronic disease progression. Previous studies have investigated individual food groups in relation to metabolic health status of adolescents, mainly in Western countries. Limited data are available on the association between dietary patterns and metabolic health in Middle East nations, where childhood overweight/obesity is increasing drastically. Therefore, we investigated the relationship between the Mediterranean diet and metabolic health status among Iranian adolescents. ⋯ We found an inverse association between the Mediterranean diet and odds of MUO among Iranian adolescents, based on IDF criteria. No significant relation was found when MUO was defined based on HOMA-IR/IDF criteria. Further prospective cohort studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Clinical Study on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Complicated with Knee Bone Infarction.
The present study aims to (1) analyze the clinical characteristics and related influencing factors of knee bone infarction in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and (2) improve the understanding of SLE complicated with knee bone infarction. ⋯ The risk of knee bone infarction was relatively high in patients with SLE within a 5-year disease course and in young patients. The risk factors were Raynaud's phenomenon, anti-nRNP antibody positivity, and early high-dose glucocorticoid therapy.
