Randomized Controlled TrialCombined Efficacy of Balloon Occlusion and Uterine Artery Embolization on Coagulation Function in Patients with High-Risk Placenta Previa during Cesarean Section.
The present study was performed in order to investigate the conbined effect of balloon occlusion and uterine artery embolization on coagulation function in patients with high-risk placenta previa during cesarean section. ⋯ The combined approach of balloon occlusion and uterine artery embolization offered potential for improving the coagulation function of patients with high-risk placenta previa during cesarean section. In addition, the approach reduced the amount of blood loss and plasma injection, shortened the length of hospital stay, which was believed available for wide clinical application.

Observational StudyPeripheral Saturation and Perfusion Index on the First Day of Life Play a Role in Early Discharge of Healthy Term Newborns.
Pulse oximetry screening is a safe, feasible test, effective in identifying congenital heart diseases in otherwise well-appearing newborns. Uncertainties still persist on the most effective algorithm to be used and the timing of screening. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of the pulse oximetry screening associated with the peripheral perfusion index performed in the first 24 hours of life for the early detection of congenital heart diseases and noncongenital heart diseases in the newborns. ⋯ Combining peripheral saturation with the peripheral perfusion index in the first 24 hours of life shows a predictive role in the detection of minor congenital heart diseases and neonatal clinical conditions whose care needs attention.

Randomized Controlled TrialAnalysis of the Effects of Early Rehabilitation Treatment Conducted by Nurses on the Prevention of Tendon Adhesion after Finger Flexor Tendon Rupture: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
This study aims to analyze the application of predictive nursing in the prevention of tendon adhesion, after the anastomosis of finger flexor tendon rupture, so as to provide a basis for clinical nursing. ⋯ The application of predictive nursing, after the anastomosis of finger flexor tendon rupture, is good for preventing tendon adhesion. Better levels of finger flexion and extension after the operation are guaranteed, and the overall recovery outcomes are better. The satisfaction levels of patients who received predictive nursing were also high, and this method is highly valued and promoted within clinical practice.

Clinical TrialSeven Months after Mild COVID-19: A Single-Centre Controlled Follow-Up Study in the District of Constance (FSC19-KN).
The primary aim of the study was to investigate the rate of hospitalization and admission diagnoses in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2) positive patients seven months after initial infection. Secondarily, measurement of long-term effects on physical performance, quality of life, and functional outcome was intended. ⋯ The results suggest that mild COVID-19 has no impact on the hospitalization rate during the first seven months after infection. Despite unimpaired performance in cardiopulmonary exercise, SARS-CoV-2-positive subjects reported reduced quality of life and functional sequelae. Underlying psychoneurological mechanisms need further investigation. Trial Registration. This trial is registered with clinicaltrials.gov (identifier: NCT04724434) and German Clinical Trials Register (identifier: DKRS00022409).

Health-Related Quality of Life and Coping Strategies in a Cohort Study of Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy Naïve Patients Adherence.
The main objective of this study was to describe the perceived quality of life (QoL) in patients living with AIDS (PLWA) and their chosen coping strategies in a cohort of individuals managed with HAART. ⋯ The present study revealed that the perceived QoL can be maintained in individuals treated for HIV/AIDS. There is an association between high score of coping strategies and adherence to HAART.
