The Role of Thrombocyte Parameters in Retinopathy of Prematurity Development.
To investigate the role of thrombocyte parameters in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) development. ⋯ Although PLT count was lower and thrombocytopenia rate was higher in the type-1 ROP group, the differences were not found to be significant. Further prospective studies are required to evaluate the role of thrombocytes in ROP pathogenesis.

Clinical TrialClinical Variation in the Treatment Practices for Medication Nonadherence, Drug-Drug Interactions, and Recognition of Disease Progression in Patients with Chronic Cardiometabolic Diseases: A Cross-Sectional Patient Simulation Study among Primary Care Physicians.
Medication nonadherence in patients with chronic diseases is common, costly, and often underdiagnosed. In the United States, approximately 40-50% of patients with cardiometabolic conditions are not adherent to long-term medications. Drug-drug interactions (DDI) are also underrecognized and may lead to medication nonadherence in this patient population. Treatment complexity associated with cardiometabolic conditions contributes to increased risk for adverse drug events and DDIs. ⋯ Based on these study results, primary care physicians were unable to adequately diagnose and treat patients with chronic cardiometabolic diseases who either suffered from medication nonadherence, DDIs, or progression of the disease. Improved standardization and technique in identifying these diagnoses is needed in primary care. Trial Registration. This trial is registered with clinicaltrials.gov, NCT05192590.

Homocysteine Is a Marker of Increased Cardio-Cerebrovascular Disease Risk in Psoriatic Patients, but It Does Not Reflect the Effect of Biological Therapy in the Longitudinal Observation.
Psoriasis is linked to atherosclerosis. Homocysteine (HCYS) has been identified as a marker of increased risk of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases (CCVD) in population. ⋯ An increased CCVD risk, independent of other risk factors, is present in psoriatic patients with elevated HCYS. The HCYS level was not influenced by biological therapy in longitudinal observation. Further studies are needed to explore if elevated HCYS could serve as a marker of increased CCVD in any stage of psoriasis and if it should be included in classical screening strategies.

Turkish Validity and Reliability Study of Challenge-Hindrance Demands Scale for the Nursing Profession.
This study aims to adapt "the Challenge-Hindrance Demands Scale for Nursing Professional" developed by Mahaverachartkul and Sooraksa; regarding "how nurses who are under heavy workload and stress as well as intense and tiring working hours perceive many stressful situations in the working environment as challenges or hindrances" to Turkish language and bring it to the use of national literature. In terms of method, the research was designed within the scope of the quantitative research model. Data collected from 450 nurses were used in this study. ⋯ According to the EFA findings of the Hindrance Demands Scale, when the KMO value (0.947) and the Bartlett sphericity test value (X2 (78) = 5263.056; p=0.001) were examined, it was seen that the data were suitable for analysis. When the CFA findings of the Hindrance Demands Scale were examined, it was seen that the fit indices were at an acceptable level (X2 (61) = 208.794; p=0.001; CMIN/df = 3.423; CFI = 0.972; TLI = 0.964; RMSEA = 0.073; SRMR = 0.032). In conclusion, the Challenge-Hindrance Demands Scale for Nursing Professionals with 13 items and four dimensions developed to measure the stress, hindrance, and challenge levels of nurses in their professional life in Turkey may be used in future studies.

Association of CHA2DS2-VASC Score with in-Hospital Cardiovascular Adverse Events in Patients with Acute ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction.
Acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a common clinical critical illness, and accurate, reliable, simple, and easy-to-remember tools are needed in clinical practice to quickly identify the risk of this condition in STEMI patients. This study investigates the predictive value of the admission CHA2DS2-VASc score for in-hospital MACE in STEMI patients. ⋯ The CHA2DS2-VASc score can successfully predict the occurrence of in-hospital MACE events in STEMI patients.
