Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of concomitant outcome achieved with fresh and cryopreserved donor oocytes vitrified by the Cryotop method.
To evaluate the outcome of oocyte vitrification using the Cryotop method, observed in an egg donation program by simultaneously evaluating embryos derived from vitrified and fresh oocytes coming from the same stimulated cycle. ⋯ The Cryotop method preserves the potential of vitrified oocytes to fertilize and further develop, which is similar, when evaluated simultaneously, to fresh counterparts. Excellent clinical outcome indicates the possible use of this technology for egg donation programs, as well as a high potential for establishing oocyte banking.

CommentDisentangling causal paths between obesity and in vitro fertilization outcomes: an intractable problem?
Research questions should be appropriate for the available data. Disentangling causal paths between obesity and in vitro fertilization outcomes may be an intractable problem, but other research questions of clinical importance can be addressed through appropriate study designs and analytic methods.

Imbalance in the peritoneal levels of interleukin 1 and its decoy inhibitory receptor type II in endometriosis women with infertility and pelvic pain.
To evaluate the levels of interleukin-1beta (IL1beta) and its inhibitory soluble interleukin-1 receptor type II (IL1R2) in the peritoneal fluid (PF) of normal women and patients with endometriosis suffering from pelvic pain and infertility. ⋯ This study revealed an imbalance between IL1beta and its decoy inhibitory receptor type 2 in women with endometriosis, which was particularly obvious in those who were infertile, and suggests that a defect in the local control of IL1 may be involved in the pathophysiology of endometriosis and related infertility.

Randomized Controlled TrialAnastrozole or letrozole for ovulation induction in clomiphene-resistant women with polycystic ovarian syndrome: a prospective randomized trial.
To compare the effects of letrozole (2.5 mg) and anastrozole (1 mg) meant for ovulation induction in clomiphene (CC)-resistant women with PCOS. ⋯ The results of this study did not show a significant difference in PR or miscarriage rate between anastrozole and letrozole when used for ovulation induction in women with CC-resistant PCOS.

Office hysteroscopic early lysis of intrauterine adhesion after transcervical resection of multiple apposing submucous myomas.
To analyze the prevalence of intrauterine adhesion (IUA) formation in women undergoing transcervical resection (TCR) for submucous myomas. ⋯ Intrauterine adhesion is a common complication after TCR for apposing submucous myomas, but not for a solitary myoma. Office hysteroscopy within 2 weeks after TCR is an easy and effective procedure in separating the newly formed IUA.
