Case Reports[Traumatic obturator hip dislocation in a five-year-old boy: open reduction after a six-week delay in diagnosis].
Hip dislocations are relatively uncommon in children, they may occur before five years of age as a result of seemingly trivial trauma. A 5-year-old boy was admitted with knee pain six weeks after a fall from bed. ⋯ Owing to the late presentation and without attempting closed reduction, the patient was treated with open reduction and capsulorrhaphy. At the end of a year follow-up, the patient had no complaints and no functional restriction.

[The relationship between objective and subjective evaluation criteria in lumbar spinal stenosis].
We evaluated the relationship between functional objective and patient-based subjective assessments and quality of life in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS). ⋯ The TET test used to determine the functional capacity seems to be correlated well with subjective patient-based assessments. This objective tool, when combined with subjective assessments, may be helpful in the evaluation and treatment of patients with LSS.

We evaluated the effect of exploratory neurectomy on phantom limb pain (PLP) in patients who had PLP and neuroma findings in the amputated extremity. ⋯ The best way to prevent postamputation neuromas and PLP is to cut the nerve as proximal as possible, allowing its retraction into the soft tissue, and leaving its end away from the stump.

Case Reports[A case of pigmented villonodular synovitis of the elbow joint with bone invasion].
Pigmented villonodular synovitis is a benign proliferative disorder of the joint and of the tendon sheath synovium. It has a predilection for the lower extremities, particularly the knee and the hip. The elbow joint is rarely affected. ⋯ An incisional biopsy yielded a diagnosis of pigmented villonodular synovitis. She underwent subtotal synovectomy and excision of the radius head. No evidence of clinical or radiologic recurrence was detected within a follow-up of 16 months.
