Review Meta AnalysisUltrasonography for meniscal injuries in knee joint: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
The aim of the paper is to systematically review the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography for meniscal injuries in knee joint. ⋯ We found the diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography for meniscal injuries was good. No evidence showed MRI had better accuracy than ultrasonography diagnosis. We recommend ultrasonography should be routinely used for evaluation of meniscal injuries in knee joint.

Review Meta AnalysisThe effect of the Pilates method on the physical conditioning of healthy subjects: a systematic review with meta-analysis.
Physical conditioning consists of a variety of health-related attributes and Pilates exercises are described as a form of this conditioning. The objective of this systematic review was to determine the effect of the Pilates method on health and ability outcome of the physical conditioning of healthy individuals. ⋯ The results indicate the Pilates exercises performed on the mat or apparatus 2 to 3 times a week, for 5 to 12 weeks, improves abdominal muscular endurance (on average, 10 more abdominals curls in 1-minute sit-up test) for both genders, when compared to no exercises.

Review Meta AnalysisEffect of exercise on depression in university students: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.
The aim of this study was to assess the effect of exercise on depression in university students. ⋯ Exercise may be an effective therapy for treating depression in university students. However, further clinical studies with strict design and large samples focused on this specific population should be warranted in the future.

Observational StudyCardiovascular effects, body composition, quality of life and pain after a Zumba® fitness program in Italian overweight women.
The aim of this paper was to investigate the cardiovascular effects, body composition, quality of life and pain after a 12-week Zumba fitness program in a group of overweight women through an observational study, community physical activity program involving twenty-seven overweight women (38.9±9.7 years). ⋯ Results demonstrate that Zumba fitness can be an effective way to obtain beneficial health effects and that it can also be recommended for overweight women.

Analysis of the performance of women with fibromyalgia in the six-minute walk test and its relation with health and quality of life.
Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chronic syndrome characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain that causes a significant reduction in functional capacity, affecting thus health and quality of life (QOL). ⋯ The analysis of performance parameters in the 6MWT may be an element of clinical relevance in FM patients.
