This study aimed to conduct a bibliometric analysis of the literature on hydrogel therapy for spinal cord injury to visualize the research status, identify hotspots, and explore the development trends in this field. ⋯ In summary, this study provided a comprehensive analysis of the current research status and frontiers of hydrogel therapy for spinal cord injury. The findings provide a foundation for future research and clinical translation efforts of hydrogel therapy in this field.

Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) is a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) disorder defect that is frequently treated with CSF shunts. Shunts utilizing the cisterna magna as a proximal reservoir have been described in literature; however, long-term outcomes are unknown. The present study aims to describe the long-term effectiveness, revision rates, and clinical outcomes of this shunt in 14 patients with IIH and slit ventricles. ⋯ The cisterna magna shunt may be a suitable option for patients with IIH and slit ventricles. Further study is needed to understand the clinical utility of this shunt for the population in which it is indicated.

To construct an optimal prognostic model to assess the prognosis of patients with diffuse glioma. ⋯ Among the three models, the F-model (radiomics combined with clinical factors) had optimal predictive efficacy and could more accurately assess the prognosis of diffuse glioma. The "Prognosis Calculator for Diffuse Glioma" constructed based on this model could assist clinicians in more easily and accurately assessing the prognosis of patients with diffuse glioma, thus enabling them to make more reasonable treatment strategies.

Several studies have investigated the mechanical behavior of the thoracolumbar spine. However, finding an accurate reference for the normal functional local alignment and segmental motion (SM) at the thoracolumbar junction (TLJ) is challenging. Therefore, this study aimed to assess age- and sex-related changes and differences in local alignment and SM at the TLJ. ⋯ This study's results provide valuable guidance for appropriate surgical planning and rehabilitation of patients with spinal diseases or trauma. Furthermore, the results can be the basis for categorizing accurate criteria to evaluate the degree of disability after treatment.

Patients with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LMC) experience a poor prognosis and rapid progression, and cerebrospinal fluid drainage (CSFD) is used to manage intracranial hypertension and hydrocephalus in LMC patients. This study aims to describe a novel discovery of preoperative radiological features in patients who underwent CSFD for LMC. ⋯ Patients with radiological features of cerebellar enhancement have shorter postoperative survival than other patients; however, those with supratentorial cerebral edema, especially features of DESH, could benefit from CSFD. Patients with cerebellar swelling should avoid undergoing CSFD.
