The Influence of the Novel Computer-aided Triage System Based on Artificial Intelligence on Endovascular Therapy in Patients with Large Vascular Occlusions: a meta-analysis.
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) with modern healthcare has become increasingly prominent. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the novel computer-aided triage system based on artificial intelligence (AI-CTS) on endovascular therapy (EVT) in patients with large vascular occlusions (LVO). This study marks the first comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis on the subject. ⋯ The combination of AI-CTS and EVT has improved the therapy process for LVO patients. However, the improvement in mRS at 90 days was not significant; further research is warranted.

Approaches in Anterior Column Support in Adult Spinal Deformity Surgery: A Metaanalysis of Clinical and Radiological Outcomes.
This meta-analysis was conducted to compare anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) with transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) in terms of postoperative complications, improvement in radiographic parameters, and patient-reported outcomes. ⋯ Although ALIF had better improvement in ODI, the mean difference was 6.5 points, which is below the minimal clinically important difference, stripping this result of any clinical value. Furthermore, even though ALIF had better postoperative lordosis, the change in LL postoperatively was not different between ALIF and TLIF. With no difference in complications, sagittal and coronal alignment, and patient-reported outcomes, TLIF was shown in this study to be favored instead of ALIF in adult spinal deformity surgery to avoid all the double approach-related comorbidity.

Optic nerve sheath diameter sonography for the diagnosis of intracranial hypertension in Traumatic brain injury: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Timely diagnosis and management of elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) can significantly reduce mortality rates. Ultrasound examination of the optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) is considered a potential, noninvasive, and effective method for assessing ICP. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of ONSD ultrasound detection and invasive ICP monitoring methods to compare and evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of ONSD ultrasound detection methods for intracranial hypertension (IH) in patients with TBI. ⋯ ONSD sonography may be a useful method for predicting increased ICP in adult patients with TBI. Further clinical studies are required to confirm the diagnostic value of ONSD sonography.

Low back pain (LBP) is a common pathology, and its high prevalence has led to the emergence of alternative options that have gained popularity without objective epidemiological evaluations. This work seeks to clarify the utility of ozone in the treatment of LBP. ⋯ The treatment of LBP is complex. Advancements have been made in recent years from biomechanical and pathophysiological perspectives, but ozone therapy is not considered a treatment option. Techniques that involve the use of ozone fall into the category of empirical options. International guidelines for LBP exclude ozone therapy. It is advisable to conduct further studies under strict parameters to better evaluate its outcomes.

Effects of valproic acid therapy on rats with spinal cord injury: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To systematically evaluate the efficacy of valproic acid (VPA) in rats with spinal cord injury (SCI) to reduce the risk of clinical conversion and provide a valuable reference for future animal and clinical studies. ⋯ To date, this is the first systematic evaluation of the potential effects of VPA on motor recovery in rats with SCI. We concluded that VPA can promote motor recovery in rats with SCI, and higher doses of VPA seem to be more effective in rats with SCI. However, the limited quality and sample of included studies reduced the application of this meta-analysis. In the future, more high-quality, direct comparative studies are needed to explore this issue in depth.
