To compare the endoscopic transorbital approach (ETOA) and endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) in terms of cavernous sinus (CS) exposure. ⋯ The ETOA has the advantages of a sterile surgical channel, short operation time, little patient trauma, short surgical corridor, large exposure area, and interdural pathway; moreover, it allows dissection through the interdural space without entering the neurovascular compartment of the CS. Although the space for manipulation of instruments is limited, the ETOA is suitable for treating selected tumors in the superior and lateral compartments of the CS.

Computed tomography angiography (CTA) derived thrombus enhancement characteristics can predict first-pass recanalization. We studied whether dynamic contrast kinetics within the clot in multiphase CTA can predict first-pass recanalization following stentriever thrombectomy. ⋯ TAG evaluated from multiphase CTA can predict first-pass effect in stentriever thrombectomy.

Symptomatic lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) leads to functional impairment and pain. While radiologic characterization of the morphological stenosis grade can aid in the diagnosis, it may not always correlate with patient symptoms. Artificial intelligence (AI) may diagnose symptomatic LSS in patients solely based on self-reported history questionnaires. ⋯ Our results indicate that ML can automate the diagnosis of LSS based on self-reported questionnaires with high accuracy. Implementation of standardized and intelligence-automated workflow may serve as a supportive diagnostic tool to streamline patient management and potentially lower health care costs.

Flow diversion has evolved as a minimally invasive treatment for intracranial aneurysms. The Silk Vista Baby (SVB) can be navigated into small cerebral vessels because it can be deployed through a low-profile microcatheter. ⋯ Although the intraoperative foreshortening was not unexpected, the delayed postprocedural behavior of proximal foreshortening and subsequent prolapse of the SVB into the aneurysm have not been previously described. We would like to share this for awareness in this technical note.

The exhaustive information regarding the types of trigeminal pore (TP) or trigeminal impression (TI), internal acoustic opening (IAO), and related surgical approaches is lacking in the literature. Therefore, this study is performed to further elucidate the types of TP or TI, IAO, and the relationships with critical surgical landmarks in the skull base. ⋯ Investigating the relationship of TI and IAO with relevant structures suggests that surgical approaches involving the TP and IAO indicated that surgical approaches considering the TI and IAO variations may be used in the development of surgical processes and primary surgical interventions.
