Neurological presentations of COVID-19: Findings from the Spanish Society of Neurology neuroCOVID-19 registry.
We report the findings from the Spanish Society of Neurology's NeuroCOVID-19 Registry. ⋯ The neurological manifestations of COVID-19 are diverse. Anosmia, myalgia, and headache occur earlier in the course of the disease. Altered mental status, neuromuscular symptoms, and stroke are associated with greater severity. COVID-19 must be incorporated into most clinical and radiological differential diagnoses. COVID-19 may cause persistent and disabling neurological symptoms.

Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis associated with SARS-CoV-2; a multinational case series.
SARS-CoV-2 induced coagulopathy can lead to thrombotic complications such as stroke. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is a less common type of stroke which might be triggered by COVID-19. We present a series of CVST cases with SARS-CoV-2 infection. ⋯ CVST should be considered as potential comorbidity in SARS-CoV-2 infected patients presenting with neurological symptoms. Our data suggest that compared to non-SARS-CoV-2 infected patients, CVST occurs in older patients, with lower rates of known CVST risk factors and might lead to a poorer outcome in the SARS-CoV-2 infected group.

Association between critical care admission and 6-month functional outcome after spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage.
There is uncertainty about the clinical benefit of admission to critical care after spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH). ⋯ Admission to critical care is associated with poor 6-month functional outcome after spontaneous ICH but not with death. Patients admitted to critical care were a priori more severely affected. Although adjusted for main known predictors of poor outcome, our findings could still be confounded by unmeasured factors. Establishing the true effectiveness of critical care after ICH requires a randomised trial with clinical outcomes and quality of life assessments.

Teleneurology during the COVID-19 pandemic: A step forward in modernizing medical care.
The COVID-19 pandemic mandated rapid transition from face-to-face encounters to teleneurology visits. While teleneurology is regularly used in acute stroke care, its application in other branches of neurology was limited. Here we review how the recent pandemic has created a paradigm shift in caring for patients with chronic neurological disorders and how academic institutions have responded to the present need. ⋯ The need for "social distancing" during the COVID-19 pandemic has created a major surge in the number of teleneurology visits, which will probably continue for the next few months. It may have initiated a more permanent transition to virtual technology incorporated medical care.

Late-onset hereditary ATTR V30M amyloidosis with polyneuropathy: Characterization of Brazilian subjects from the THAOS registry.
Despite growing numbers of patients diagnosed with late-onset hereditary ATTR V30M amyloidosis with polyneuropathy (ATTRv-PN), this condition remains poorly characterized in Brazil. ⋯ LO-V30M ATTRv-PN is not unusual in Brazil, tending to be more difficult to diagnose and present with a more severe phenotype, with more large nerve fibers and cardiac involvement than EO-V30M.
