Comparative StudyReopening K-12 Schools in the Era of Coronavirus Disease 2019: Review of State-Level Guidance Addressing Equity Concerns.
To determine how state guidance documents address equity concerns in K-12 schools during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. ⋯ Wide variability exists in state-level guidance to help K-12 schools develop reopening plans that protect those who are most vulnerable to learning loss or reduced access to basic needs. Interpretation and implementation by local educational agencies will need to be assessed.

Pediatric Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2): Clinical Presentation, Infectivity, and Immune Responses.
As schools plan for re-opening, understanding the potential role children play in the coronavirus infectious disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the factors that drive severe illness in children is critical. ⋯ This study reveals that children may be a potential source of contagion in the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic despite having milder disease or a lack of symptoms; immune dysregulation is implicated in severe postinfectious MIS-C.

Effect of Cognitive and Physical Rest on Persistent Postconcussive Symptoms following a Pediatric Head Injury.
To evaluate the effect of cognitive and physical rest on persistent postconcussive symptoms in a pediatric population. ⋯ Emerging evidence supports early return to light activity for recovery of acute pediatric concussion. Our study adds to this management approach as we did not find that rest from school and sports resulted in a decreased odds of persistent postconcussive symptoms.
