Analysis of the correlation between the assessment of current family relations in families of patients diagnosed with eating disorders and the assessment of the relations in the family of origin of their parents. ⋯ No specific correlations were found between the perception of the transgenerational experience of parents and evaluation of current relations in the nuclear family of their children with eating disorders. The results in the group with eating disorders suggest that the relations between parents and daughters are more intense than marital relations.

Valid and reliable diagnosis of posttraumatic stress disorder is important for clinical practice, scientific research and forensic settings. The aim of the study was to assess the psychometric properties of the Polish version of SCID-I F Module for the diagnosis of PTSD. ⋯ A part of Module F of the SCID-I, a structured clinical interview for the assessment of posttraumatic stress disorder is a valid and reliable psychometric tool useful for the diagnosis of PTSD.

Delirium is a common complication after cardiac surgery, being associated with significant mortality and morbidity. The pathogenesis of postoperative delirium (POD) is complex and multifactorial, involving an interaction of multiple predisposing and precipitating factors. ⋯ Experimental and clinical studies have recently documented improved perioperative central neural protection exerted by statins because of their anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and antithrombotic properties. The present review will focused on the possible protective effect exerted by preoperative statin administration on delirium following cardiac surgery.

AIM : The aim of the research is the analysis of psychiatric consultations conducted in the multi-disciplinary hospital, establishing the cause of the consultations according to ICD-10 and the analysis of psychiatric consultations regarding their number on particular wards. ⋯ The most frequent causes of consultation were addictions, the next were organic and psychotic disorders, neurotic and affective disorders. Consultations most often have taken place at the Hospital Admitting Department/Hospital Emergency Service, Surgery Department, Internal Medicine Department and Neurology Department.
